Afrins' teachers: We to struggle against cultural genocide

The  activities of the first conference of north and east Syria's universities which launched today in the headquarter of Rojava University, continue by attending of the students, cadres  and some guests of Kobanî and Afrin.

Hawar news agency met with the teachers of Afrin University during their participating in the conference where Menan Jafer who was teaching at Afrin University and was teaching the students in al-Shahba canton noted that the resistance in al-Shahba would continue and the teaching is also continued and their goals are to teach the students according to the principle of the democratic nation. 

Menan noted that the Turkish occupation targeted the cultural and history of the area when it attacked Afrin , he noted that the students of Afrin were prevented of right to receive education during the occupation.

He added ,"the occupation army has destroyed the schools and working now to change the area's  demographic , and unfortunately the international community is silence against those practices.

"The Turkish occupation targeted the schools during Afrin's occupation "

The teacher Rohan Mustafa noted that the Turkish occupation targeted the schools during Afrin's occupation.

She added ," holding this conference is a message to the Turkish occupation in Afrin , and Afrin students sent their message by holding this conference and pledged to continue the struggle against the cultural genocide because the occupation wants to stop the teaching in Kurdish language in Afrin and wants to change Afrin demographic and its history , but we would not let it do that."  

The Turkish army occupied Afrin after launching brutal attacks lasted more than 57 day , but YPG and YPJ forces faced these attacks with heroic resistance .
