SDF revealed last 24 hours’ outcome of battle to defeat terrorism

The media center of SDF released on Wednesday a statement to the public opinion disclosing the outcome of the last 24 hours of the battle to defeat terrorism, the last stage of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

 The statement included,

Al-Baguz axis: Intermittent clashes erupted between our fighters and IS mercenaries’ elements, while the last intended to bombard our forces’ sites with heavy weapons, mortars and sniper weapons were also used in the clashes, but they did not result in any damage. Our fighters repelled an attack of the terrorist gang and killed and wounded a number of mercenaries.

In conjunction with the clashes, the International Coalition’s aircrafts bombarded the terrorists’ sites and fortifications with two rockets of Hummers kind, one of them targeted two gangs of the terrorist organization’s elements and killed them while the second destroyed a site where the mercenaries used to protect themselves in.

Moreover, the area is still witnessing intermittent clashes from time to time with mutual bombardment using artillery shelling.

In the morning hours, IS mercenaries tried to launch a counterattack on our fighters’ sites, south of al-Soseh village using heavy weapons, but our fighters repelled and obliged them to turn back.

Hejin axis: Our fighters launched an attack on the terrorists’ sites and inflicted them with losses. Moreover, the fighters managed to install new points in this axis. Soon, the engineering teams started to comb the area, and they found several mines and explosive devises as they managed to blast two of them and dismantle four others.

The Global Coalition’s aircrafts launched several aerial raids on the terrorists’ sites which resulted in killing a number of them and destroying a vehicle used to be used by the mercenaries.

Furthermore, this axis is witnessing intermittent clashes amid bombarding with mortars.

The outcome of the clashes:

The number of the terrorists’ killed: 12 terrorists.

The raids of the Global Coalition’s warplanes: 3 raids.

The strikes with missiles: 2 missiles of Hummers kind.

The terrorists’ losses: 2 sites of the terrorists and a vehicle were destroyed.

The mines that were dismantled: 6 mines.
