'We will continue to resist until we liberate Afrin'

As part of the second stage of the campaign to liberate Afrin, the displaced people of Afrin continue resistance despite all the circumstances, stressing their determination to continue the struggle until liberating Afrin.

Samira Ibrahim referred to the double international policies towards the issues of peoples, she said in this regard ,"When the regime was talking about launching an armed attack against Idlib, the entire world expressed concern about the fate of civilians. When Afrin was attacked by Turkish occupation and mercenary gangs, the whole world remained silent. In Afrin, for 58 days, children, women, elderly men were killed every day as a result of the brutal bombardment by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, but the whole world was silent about these attacks."

Ibrahim added, "The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are expelling the people of Afrin from their homes and sending the families of mercenaries there, and everyone is silent and this means that everyone agrees on the extension of the Kurdish identity in Afrin."

Mahmoud Ibrahim spoke about the violations taking place in Afrin ,"The mercenaries want, through their practices, to expel the people of Afrin from their land and force them to emigrate from there. They take possession of their property, kill civilians, kidnap them and demand ransom for their release. This is happening in Afrin in order to cause a demographic change in them, but all these endeavors will fail as long as we resist here in al-Shahba and we will fight the mercenaries to liberate Afrin."

The citizen Mustafa Haidar confirmed in his speech  to continue the resistance in the camps till Afrin be liberated and added," We will not leave Afrin to the mercenaries. We are here to resist and fight and endure all the hardships we face in daily life, but these difficulties will not stand in the way of our will, and we will return to Afrin. " 

Haidar said at the end of his speech that the demographic change in Afrin will not reach its results.

"No matter how mercenaries seek to take over our land and expel our people out of their homes to make a demographic change in Afrin, they will not win, because we are sticking to our land and will not abandon our goal of liberating Afrin. We will continue the resistance and struggle."
