‘Who will liberate Afrin are YPG, YPJ’
The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in al-Shahba areas continues to hold meetings for the people in order to explain the latest developments in the area and talk about Afrin's situation.

TEV-DEM held a meeting in Tel Qerah village in Ahdath district in al-Shahba canton, and dozens of Afrin displaced people attended.
The administrator in al-Shahba Canton Council Newroz Kobanî spoke during the meeting and denounced the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan and the conspiracy plotted against him about 20 years ago.
Newroz touched upon the importance of the struggle to liberate Afrin, “Afrin people must struggle to liberate Afrin. No one will come and liberate our homeland for us. Our staying in al-Shahba under the tents and in the destroyed homes is a message to everyone that no one can break the will of our people. We are stronger than their dirty policies that are being practiced on us.”
Newroz also called upon the people to support the resistance of the People Protection Units (YPG) and Women Protection Units (YPJ) noting that these forces are those who will liberate Afrin, and said, “The people must trust that YPG and YPJ fighters are those who will liberate Afrin. Every day, there are operations carried out by our forces in Afrin so be sure that Afrin will be liberated and our forces are who would liberate Afrin.”
Newroz Kobanî urged the people to reinforce the organization and continue the struggle and resistance.
