IS leader ordered to execute 320 of his followers of treason

IS mercenaries’ leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ordered to execute 320 mercenaries of his followers for their betrayal according to Iraqi security sources quoted by British media outlets.

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" quoted from the Iraqi intelligence reports that al-Baghdadi ordered to kill even some of the leading figures of the organization in Iraq and Syria.

IS mercenaries have lost nearly 90 % of the territories that were controlled by them in 2014 after the so-called Caliphate was announced and that was done after they were expelled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Iraqi army.

The successive defeats of IS have motivated al-Baghdadi to instruct to execute 320 mercenaries of his followers for treachery and recklessness which caused heavy losses in Iraq and Syria.

Abu al-Bara al-Ansari, Seif ed-Din al-Iraqi, Abu Atham al-Tel Aferi, Abu Iman al-mwahed and Marwan Hadid al-Suri were among the prominent commanders of the mercenaries who were killed.

The source said that a number of mercenaries fled to anonymous places for fear of their life after they had realized the schemes of al-Baghdadi.
