Who are co-chairs of Autonomous Administration  in North, East Syria’s Executive Council

MOHAMMED AL-AHMED TURKI AL-KALET/GIRÊ SPî

Abed Hamed al-Mehbash was born in al-Ahoas village in Al-Karama district, east of al-Raqqa city in 1973. He attended primary, preparatory and secondary school in his village and then moved to the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Law and graduated in 1996. He is married and has three boys. He was assigned as a co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Civil Administration in al- Raqqa city, was nominated at the first founding session of the General Council on 6/9/2018 for the co-chair of Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria’s Executive Council, and after the granting of confidence on 3/10/2018 he was assigned as a co-chair of  the Autonomous Administration.

Berîvan Khalid born in Amuda city in 1988, she studied primary, preparatory and secondary school in her city, and then moved to Aleppo university at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, department of French Literature. In the third year of her studies, the events of the Syrian revolution began in 2011 and she returned to Amuda without completing her studies. She was assigned then as director of Culture and Art Center in Amuda and the spokesperson of the Movement of Culture and Art in al-Raqqa in Rojava  in 2012-2014. On January 1, 2015, she was assigned as the head of Culture and Art Body of al-Jazeera canton. After applying the principle of co-chairs within the Autonomous Administration on 7/4/2016, she was assigned as co-chair of the same body. At the first founding session of the General Council on 6/9/2018, she was nominated for co-chair of the Executive Council in the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria and after conferring confidence in the majority of votes, she was appointed as co-chair of the Executive Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria on 3/10/2018.
