Turkish authorities arrest dozens of politicians, journalists in Amad

Turkish police raided the homes of dozens of journalists and politicians in Amed on Tuesday and arrested more than 100 people as a result, after breaking the houses' doors and inspecting them

Among the nearly 100 detainees are journalists Abdulrahman Kok, Kabria Afern, Samiha Alankul, and the co-chair of the Democratic Peoples' Party in Amed Mohammad Sharif Jamji

Turkish police raided the house of journalist Abdulrahman Kok with machine guns and arrested the journalist before searching his house and confiscated dozens of his books, magazines and files.

According to some information, those arrested were transferred to the TEM branch in the police station of Amed city

Police also raided the home of journalist Samiha Alankush in Istanbul. According to preliminary information, she will be transferred to Amed city.

According to some information, TOMA mechanisms belonging to the Turkish police now stand in front of the center of the Democratic Peoples' Party in Amed city.
