SDF killed 38 mercenaries

The media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) today issued a statement to the public, revealing the last 24 hours outcome of the Battle to Defeat Terrorism, which is the last stage of al-Jazeera Tempest Campaign to liberate Hajin, the last stronghold of mercenaries.

The text of the statement

1. Bagouz axis: Our fighters attacked the terrorist positions in the afternoon and there were strong clashes, which resulted in the death of a number of terrorists. Our forces made progress on the ground and expelled the terrorists. The terrorist organization launched a counter-attack, but our fighters confronted it.

In conjunction with progress on this axis, the International Alliance raided on several terrorist locations, targeting one of the car bombs, which was completely destroyed, but the number of terrorists killed was not known. Coalition artillery also shelled two other booby-trapped vehicles, killing who were in them .

This axis witnessed intermittent clashes from time to time with mutual shelling with mortars and heavy machine guns.

2 – Hajin axis: This axis witnessed violent clashes between our fighters and terrorists, and our fighters were able to achieve progress and managed to expel the terrorists and install (6) new points. They also launched a combing operation in the area and seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition, in addition to bombing two mines planted by the terrorists in the area.

The terrorist organization attempted to carry out an attack on our fighters' points by means of small reconnaissance planes to detect the concentrations of our forces. But our fighters were able to shoot down a reconnaissance aircraft, which landed into the hands of our forces.

The axis also witnessed intermittent clashes, accompanied by mortar shelling.

3 – Sousse axis: After fierce battles fought by our forces over three days against IS terrorists, SDF troops liberated Mozan village near al- Sousse town and expelled the terrorists, the engineering teams managed to open the roads and removed the mines.

4 - Outcome of the clashes:

- The Points installed: / 6 / points.

- The number of terrorist deaths: 38 / terrorist.

- The number of terrorists arrested by our forces: (3) Terrorists.

- The terrorist losses: destruction of mortar, warehouse for the production of explosives, destruction / 3 / booby traps, destruction of a site where terrorists were holed up, destruction of two bulldozers.

- the weapons seized by our fighters: 2 RBGs weapons- 1 of M16 weapon, 1Kalashnikov-1reconnaissance aircraft and PKC's ammunitions.

- The mines fired by our fighters: 2 mines.

-The international coalition air strikes: / 8 / strikes.
