Turkish occupation agents violate Afrin people’s rights

The mercenary Fadel Horo, one of the agents of the Turkish occupation army and the head of the so-called Local Council of Rajo district in Afrin canton exploits the young men to work for him without paying a salary by threatening them of being kidnapped or tortured at the hands of the mercenary gangs. The mercenary Fadel Horo also prevents the villagers from harvesting the olive crop without taking permission from them. Most times, the residents are not allowed to harvest their crops.

The mercenary Fadel Horo

The mercenary Fadel Horo from Belaliko village in Rajo district of Afrin canton holds the engineering degree in Turkey and has Turkish nationality. After obtaining the Turkish nationality, he moved to Aleppo to work for the Military Housing Institution in Aleppo. He exploited his post in the institution to spread corruption till he has been discharged from his work in the institution.

Exploiting and facilitating theft

A period ago, the mercenary Fadel Horo employed a young man from Afrin to be his own driver without a salary by threatening him to be kidnapped or tortured by the mercenaries.

Horo publicly steals the civilians, asking 100,000 pounds for anyone who wants to return to his home and prove the ownership of his home, knowing that Horo is one of the native people in the area and knows the homeowners well.

Horo does not allow the residents to harvest olive crop

Fadel Horo met with the mayors and members of his council on October 1, where it was generalized that no one of Afrin residents would be allowed to harvest the crops of their relatives who are outside Afrin.

According to the source, the mercenary Fadel Horo prevents the people to harvest for their brothers or any other relatives, but the crop will return to the mercenaries. He also imposed on the residents to pay half of the crop to the Turkish army and mercenaries.

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish occupation army had issued a circulated note for all its mercenary factions which included the delivery of the olive crop which they confiscated from the people to the Turkish occupation army in order to loot the season and export it to Turkey.
