Energy Body aims to intensify services

Dozens of people from the area, the co-chair of the Energy Authority in al-Jazeera region Abdel Karim Melek, the co-chair’s deputy of the Energy Authority Ziyad Restum, the co-chair of Tel Hamis Council Saleh al-Khelaf, the co-chair of the Electricity Institution in Tel Hamis Mahmoud Ahmed, the co-chair of the people’s municipality in Tel Hamis Abdel Rahman al-Hadi and the administrator in Qamişlo council Mazloum Youssef attended the meeting.

A number of the attendees and residents expressed their requirements and offered their opinions about all aspects of electricity and water services and the means of developing them and upgrading them to the best levels. The co-chair of the Energy Body welcomed these proposals and requests, promising to consider them to be achieved.

A plan has been developed to facilitate the process of distributing electricity to the districts and towns.

The co-chair of the Energy Body in al-Jazeera region Abdel Karim Melek said during the meeting, “The body will avoid cutting off electricity and increase the process of generating power to the people, but the people must be patient for a short period.”

Melek said that the body seeks to provide better services to the consumers. “This depends on the cooperation of the citizens with us, especially as we have developed a plan to facilitate the distribution of electricity to the areas and towns within the rationing plan,” he said.

“The body is service that works to put the possible facilities in front of the consumers. Our goal in the north and east of Syria is to satisfy the people with all components and spectra without selfishness or to differentiate between them,” Melek said.

The co-chair of the Energy Body Ziyad Restum said, “We are working with our conscience and the achievements made by the blood of the martyrs in the whole geography of North and East Syria, and we have the honor to have a small part in these achievements.” 

Restum stressed that the Electricity Sector is a service sector that needs all the means of life; water, bread and others, and any shortage of services causes a crisis. Electricity is a basic element in daily life and there are future projects to generate electricity better.

At the end of his speech, Restum touched upon the status of electricity and lines in Tel- Hamis and that the stations of Tel Hamis are special because they are destructive such as Om al-Rus, Tel Hamis and Tel Ahmed Stations.
