With Resistance of Age’s spirit, we salute PYD’s 15th anniversary

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence. Then, the member of the party’s General Council Talaat Yunis talked about the political situation saying, “Our struggle’s basis is our free will in all fields so we are always targeted. The reason of what we have seen during the revolution’s years through the alliances and attacks that we were exposed to and the policies plotted against us is our adoption of the free will and they aim at underestimating our democratic project.”

Yunis added, “What happened in Afrin is an evidence that all the parties are the enemy of any democratic and free project.”

Yunis continued, “On the same time, we saw that the International Coalition, Russia, the regional countries and the regime hold meetings and agreements to divide the area in Sochi, Tehran and others. These meetings always serve the international and regional states’ aspirations on the account of the Syrian people.”

Then, Yunis talked about the role of PYD in organizing the society at the political and social field, stressing that it managed to bring together all the components of the Syrian north despite the difficulties that it faced in the beginning to become a leading party for all the parties and people of the Syrian north.

The meeting ended with listening to the guests and members’ opinions about the party’s works and valuating them in addition to registering the troubles and criticisms that they faced to avoid them in the future.
