Aisha Hassou: New year will be year of victory

Aisha Hassou spoke in a special meeting of ANHA agency while she was in Kobanî city yesterday to participate in the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

She saluted the resistance of the people of Afrin al- Shahba who are waiting for the liberation of Afrin to return to it, asserting that they will raise the pace of their struggle until the liberation of Afrin and building of a free, decentralized and pluralistic democracy.

The first stage of the establishment of the party

Aisha Hassou says that their party "stems from the will of the people and faith in the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan who was the greatest effort to provide the peoples fraternity and we as a political party derive our strength from this thought."

She added "In the first stage, our party had the political struggle. There were pressure from the Syrian regime to carry out arbitrary arrests against the cadres of the party. The fate of some of our cadres is still unknown."

She noted "the party, founded on democratic ideology and ideology for all peoples, is always  from the people and for the people. We believe in the principle of women's freedom,

The second stage of the establishment of the party

Aisha Hassou  said "our party has proven itself at all levels. Our approach to the third line at the beginning of the Syrian revolution is to understand the reality and understand the Syrian scene and what the Syrian crisis would have been,"  she added "we saw how Syria became at first and now how we have succeeded in 8 years, in the second stage, understanding the reality fact and to follow the right line, the line that stemmed from the introduction of the idea of Democratic Autonomous Administration and work to consolidate it in our belief in the ability of peoples to manage themselves and resolve the Syrian crisis " .

The position of the party amid the radical changes taking place in the area

Commenting on developments in the region and specifically Syria, Aisha Hassou said, "What happened in Syria is not a coincidence. Everything was systematic. Countries that were at the beginning of the Syrian crisis intervened indirectly. Now they are directly intervening. The Syrian, Russian and American arena, and even the Turkish presence, we can say that it serves only the interest of the Turkish state, which is always trying to hit the democratic project inside Syria, the project that the Kurdish people to consolidate.

She said that "the recent crisis in Idlib and the groups distributed in Syria was a systematic process, and when reading Russian policy we can recall what happened in Chechnya and Grozny."

A futuristic view of the party

Aisha Hassou pointed out that the Turkish occupation of the Syrian territories following the series of meetings of Astana and the resulting deals, serves only a Turkish dream that is trying to restore Ottoman dreams .

She added, "In the new year, we will increase the pace of the struggle until the liberation of Afrin and support YPG and YPJ to return Afrin to the arms of its people and return to the arms of Syria after it was taken from the Syrian land as the Iskenderun area, but Iskenderun and Afrin do not resemble each other. "

Aisha stressed that the future will be fraught with struggle and determination on the project of democracy to be a decentralized, pluralistic and democratic Syria and complete the mosaic of Syria, to be fit with the footsteps of the martyrs, and consolidate the principle of the democratic nation and achieve coexistence .

 She saluted the people of Afrin and said "We always say that Afrin will be for the Syrians and will be for the people of Afrin. In the spirit of Resistance of the Age, we will raise the pace of the struggle. The new year will be the year of victory and the consolidation of the principle of democracy."
