Scientific Research Center in al- Hasakah towards agricultural development

The Scientific Research Center in al-Hasakah canton continues to rehabilitate and train agricultural cadres, analyze and check the soil and all the requirements related to agriculture, in view of the dependence of the area on agriculture in the first place.

Agricultural soil is the natural place for plant growth and agricultural production, it is a natural and important resource that must be preserved and protected from depletion or pollution, therefore, it is necessary to analyze the soil periodically to determine its nutrient content, compensate the depleted and maintain its production.

The Scientific Agricultural Research Center in al-Hasakah is divided into two sections: the laboratory for water and soil analysis, and the second section for tree planting and supervision, as it is known that the area of ​​al-Jazeera depends primarily on agriculture, so the scientific research center toured in al-Jazeera region to know the soils qualities and selection of suitable crops and trees for each area.

During the tours conducted by the Scientific Research Center, an agricultural map was prepared at the level of al-Jazeera region, showing the type of agricultural land in the region in terms of soil strength, soil salinity, soil acidity, calcium carbonate, organic matter and phosphorus.

In light of the findings of the research center, a book entitled "A Study Handbook on the Nature of Agricultural Land in al-Jazeera Region" was prepared after the results of analysis at the Scientific Agricultural Research Center in al-Hasakah.

The book, which was prepared by the Center, contains the results of soil analysis after work of about one year of fieldwork to bring samples to the agricultural laboratory and conduct the necessary analyzes.

A member of the Scientific Research Center in al-Hasakah city, agricultural engineer Imad Mami, told Hawar news agency that the failure to apply the agricultural cycle led to the deterioration of soil fertility, "This reflected negatively on the growth of crops and production and thus the economic return to them. The problems, and from here we toured the areas of the territories of al-Jazeera and analysis of soil and water, and the formation of an agricultural map and a small booklet on the soil in the region, was distributed to farmers in the territory of al-Jazeera. "

He demanded the concerned authorities to provide support to them as they face difficulties in terms of material, and there are insufficient agricultural mechanisms and other supplies.

At the end of his speech, he said that they at the Scientific Research Center in al-Hasakah canton in North Syria, will activate the seed department to prepare a study on the quality of seeds and distribute them to the farmers as well as the opening of prevention section to study the agricultural diseases
