Nouri Mahmoud: What happened in Qamişhlo must not hinder political solution

Clashes broke out between the Asayish forces and the regime forces in Qamişhlo city, on 8 September, and in this regard the official spokesman of the People's Protection Units that the competent parties have initiated an investigation into this incident.

According to the text of Nouri Mahmoud's statement:

"The unfortunate incident that took place in Qamişhlo must not hinder the political solution.

On 8 September, an unfortunate clash took place between the Asayish forces and the regime forces in Qamişhlo city, which resulted of the death of a number of victims and the injury of others and created an atmosphere of tension encamped the atmosphere of Qamişhlo city.

We are in the General Command of the People's Protection Units, and at the same time we present condolences to the families of the victims and express our deep sorrow over what happened.

We confirm that the competent parties have opened an investigation into the incident, and the results of the investigation will be revealed immediately after its conclusion. We call on both sides to calm down and take the national interest as a starting point to search for solutions.

Once again, we express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the wishes for the speedy recovery of the wounded. "
