Girkê Legê people: Turkey arrested Ocalan physically, not his thought

Girkê Legê people said that the Government of Justice and Development (AKP )arrested Ocalan only physically but not his thought, pointing out that the will of the people derived from Ocalan’s perspectives calling for building a democratic nation are stronger than the weapons of Turkey.

The AKP authorities have imposed strict isolation on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan since 2016, preventing his relatives and agents from meeting him.

On this subject, ANHA news agency met a number of people from Girkê Legê district, where the residents demanded that the occupied Turkish state to disclose the health and safety of Ocalan.

The citizen Saied Benafshi said "The Turkish government will not be able to weaken the will of the Kurdish people by force of this isolation." He added, "The government of Justice and Development stressed the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan."

He stressed that the will of the people based on Ocalan's philosophy of building the democratic nation is stronger than the arms of AKP, he added, "Thanks to his thought, the people managed to defend their land and holy sites."

Benafshi pointed out that the Turkish occupation sent IS mercenaries to the north of Syria to eliminate the democratic project, and destroy the civilizations of the peoples, he said "the unity of the components of northern Syria, aborted Turkey's plans."

He called on human rights organizations to intervene and to disclose the health situation of the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and his release.

Saleh al-Ahmad, one of the Arab component people, said, "Ocalan is an international leader and an exceptional personality of unified thought among all the components living in the region."

He added "Turkey has arrested the body of Ocalan only, but not his idea."

He stressed that Ocalan "enlightened the right path for the peoples of the region towards freedom and democracy" and called on international organizations to intervene and reveal his fate in his prison in Imrali.

For her part, Aqida Ali condemned the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan by the AKP and appealed to all peoples living in the region to revolt in the face of the policy of the Turkish state, to reveal the health situation of Ocalan.
