Turkey deprives Afrin residents of their most important sources of livelihood

Agriculture is the main source of life needs for the people of Afrin, but after the aggression of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to Afrin which forced thousands of people forced to leave their homes heading to the areas of al-Shahba, while the rest of the people in the canton do not dare to go to their land and crops and harvest crops for fear of violations of the occupation army Turkish and its mercenaries who seek to deprive the people of their livelihoods and rob them.

 One citizen Asmet Ali of Burj al-Qas village of Şêrawa district  noted to ANHA agency,  "the only source they rely on to secure a livelihood is agriculture, but the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries prevent them from going to their land, and if approached the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries fired live bullets towards the people."

 He added "All of our lives are related to the lands we cultivated and harvested, but now we are deprived of them because of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries."

He called on all concerned bodies and human rights organizations to stop the violations of Turkey and its mercenaries and to remove them from Afrin and let the people to return to their homes and lands.

On the other hand, the citizen Hanif Sydo said "It is known that the people of Afrin mostly rely on the source of livelihood on agriculture and most of them olives but after the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries attacked with heavy weapons Afrin and abandoned the people and deprived them of their land and property and then robbed and burned their possessions, they have not any source to secure a living, in addition to the siege they suffer from all sides. "

While the citizen Yousef Kosa from Şêrawa district said "Hundreds of thousands of hectares of our agricultural land were occupied by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries and burned, the land of olives, pomegranates and land that we planted with grain and vegetables were all occupied and we have nothing but those lands. As the olive season approaches, for all the people of Afrin, people cannot harvest their crops. "
