Guerilla carried out operation against Turkish sites

The Popular Defense Forces (HPG) carried out an operation against the positions of the Turkish occupation army in Ilka district of Şirnex in Bakur (North Kurdistan) and destroyed the fortifications of the Turkish occupation.

The media center of HPG released on Thursday a statement to the public opinion, during which it disclosed the outcomes of the operations carried out by their forces in Şirnex city on September 12.

The statement included,

“In the context of the revolutionary campaign launched in the name of the Martyr Delal Amed and the Martyrs of Basta, our forces carried out an operation in Kato Marinus square in Ilka district of Şirnex on September 12 at 17:00.

Our forces carried out the operation from two wings, where they dealt strong blows to the enemy positions and destroyed its fortifications, but we could not know the number of the killed and wounded in the ranks of the Turkish occupation army.

On September 12 between 16:00 and 17:00, the Turkish occupation army’s warplanes bombarded the areas of Wadi Buta in Qandil area within the legitimate defense zones and the Martyr Agîd hill and Konshka square in Zab area.
