Martyr’s mother: I am still alive, ready to sacrifice all my children for this land

On Sunday, hundreds of people from Girkê Legê, Tel Koçer, Çil Agha districts and Dêrik area headed towards Girkê Legê  in order to participate in the ceremonies of announcing the martyrdom HPG’s fighter Rojbîn Dara whose real name is Besna Remo and who martyred on August 31 in Jargila area in Bakur Kurdistan (North Kurdistan) .

The condolence’s tent was set up in Girkê Legê, the homeland of the fighter and it was decorated with the pictures of the martyrs, the flags of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), the Martyrs' Families Council and the People and Women Protection Units (YPG, YPJ).

Hundreds Dêrik and its districts’ residents, representatives of the Civil and Autonomous Administrations’ bodies and institutions, the fighters of YPG and YPJ, Asayîş Forces and the Society Protection Forces attended the ceremonies.

After holding a minute of silence, the commander in the ranks of YPG Aboud Çîya delivered a speech on behalf of the military forces and said, “Our martyrs have become a symbol of us and the world. They have defeated the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries with their heroism and resistance. The fighters sacrifice their souls to devote us the free life.”

Speeches were also delivered on behalf of Dêrik District Council, Tel Koçer District Council and Kongra Star, and all of which expressed condolences to the martyr’s family and all the revolution’s martyrs and pledged to follow their footsteps till their goals would be achieved.

The speech of the martyr’s family was delivered by her mother Zelfa Badro who is the co-chair of Dêrik Council. Zelfa Badro said, "I congratulate all the martyrs and the leader Abdullah Ocalan on my daughter's martyrdom. I give my daughter's martyrdom as a sacrifice to this land. I am still alive and I am ready to sacrifice all my children for the sake of the people of this land to live safely.”

After that, the document of the martyrdom was read and handed over to the martyr’s family.
