KCK: Turkish state is destroying Kurdistan's nature , everyone has to move

KCK's co-chair presidency issued today ,a statement to public opinion highlighting the fires that the Turkish state occupied in the Kurdistan region, from Dêrsim to Amed and from Botan town to mount Qandil, and pointed out that it aims to eliminate the orchards and forests of Kurdistan.

KCK also pointed out through the statement that the European Union and the states of the Turkish state  burning of trees and the nature of Kurdistan, as a result of their silence on what the Turkish state does.

The statement noted:

" AKP, and the fascist Nationalist Movement, by their attacks against the Kurdish people and their land have turned the burning of orchards and forests into a daily political practices, which were clearly visible in 2018. From Dêrsim to Amed, from Botan to Qandil, the Turkish state is burning orchards and forests there are people who want to extinguish the fire, but they are prevented by Turkish soldiers, and the helicopters continue to bombard the area .In each shell or firing a bullet, a fire breaks out somewhere, in this way they want to exterminate nature in Kurdistan.

The Turkish state hangs banners in its orchards which note "Cutting A Tree, Killing A Person", but thousands of trees are burned daily in Kurdistan. Not only trees, they kill all the neighborhoods that live within orchards and forests. In this way, the community floor and the nature of Guerilla forces are destroyed. The AKP and the Nationalist Movement cannot defeat the Kurdish people, so they want to turn Kurdistan into a lifeless place .

One of the main areas in which the fires did not stop this summer is Dêrsim and its surroundings. Dêrsim was at the forefront of the resistance, and they killed their children. Today they continue their enmity and destruction by burning their lands and forests. Dêrsim, which does not give up, they want to make it a lifeless place. Dêrsim, whose villages were burned down in 1990 and their children forcibly displaced, now they want to displace the people by burning orchards and forests. When the fires erupt in other Turkish territory, the Turkish state uses all its tools to stop it, but it stands happily watching the fire that erupts in Dêrsim.

Why do the United States and the European Union look at this in silence while they are saying that they are sensitive in such situations? This silence makes both parties partners to the Turkish state in this inhumane crime.

These fires are caused by helicopters provided by the European Union, the United States and other countries to Turkey, which means that that countries are partners in this crime.

The Kurdish people with their youth and women must not stop working against the fires that are happening. They must extinguish the fire by all the tools. As we revolted against injustice, war and cultural annihilation, we must revolt against the extermination of nature also, we must not allow eliminating of our beautiful places.
