Afrin Women: After rape, murder, it is time to revolt against occupation

The women of Afrin canton who settled in al-Shahba canton rejected the violations and practices of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries by attacking women, raping and abducting young women in exchange for enormous amounts of money. They called on women's and human rights organizations to intervene and put an end to these violations.

The Turkish occupation army continues its inhuman practices against civilians in Afrin where since the occupation of Afrin, the Turkish occupation army has kidnapped dozens of women and young women, who have been raped by mercenary gangs and demanded huge sums of money to release them.

On August 22, a video clip was published on social networking sites of a girl who says she is married, Isra Yusuf Khalil, aged 19. Isra said she had been raped by the commander of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Brigade: Abu Amsha affiliated to the Turkish occupation mercenaries under the threat of weapon as well as being under direct threat in Afrin.

On August 23, the so-called Sultan Murad Brigade of Turkish mercenaries carried out the kidnapping of a 20-year-old Aisha Abdel Naser from al-Mahmoudia al-Zaidia neighborhood, releasing her after paying a ransom of 5 million lira by her family.

"The Turkish occupation army is daily kidnaping and killing dozens of civilians, the actions of the Turkish army spring from the dirty mentality they have acquired from their president Erdogan, so the countries that claim to protect human rights must put an end to these violations," said Fatima Khalil.

For her part, the citizen Janda Sulaiman pointed out that they lived a safe life in Afrin, which was one of the safest areas during the Syrian crisis, but the Turkish occupation practices turned it into the most vulnerable areas of terrorism.

Hurai Mohammed explained that the practices of the Turkish occupation army in Afrin exceeded all human standards and values, the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army daily killing and kidnaping dozens of civilians, and stressed that the aim of these practices is to break the will of the people who refused to submit.

In turn, the citizen Frida Hamo denounced the practices and violations of the Turkish occupation army against women in Afrin and called on women to revolt against the Turkish occupation.
