Tunnel of 1 km found in al-Raqqa

The residents of al-Rumaila northern neighborhood found a tunnel of 1 km that reaches the neighborhood with the center of the city in Rabi al-Raqqa school which the mercenaries during their occupation turned it into a military headquarters.

According to the abductees who had been kidnapped by IS mercenaries, the mercenaries were indiscriminately torturing the civilians and many of them were working to dig tunnels under al-Raqqa city and other areas of IS mercenaries at that time.

The citizen Abdullah from al-Rumaila northern neighborhood who had previously been a detainee to IS mercenaries said, "The mercenaries forced the civilians after torturing and imprisoning them to dig tunnels, especially within the city of al-Raqqa. Inside this school, the tunnel was dug so that the mercenaries could use it as a shelter and move between the other neighborhoods in the city."

It is worth mentioning that the Reconstruction Committee found on July 28 of this year a 400-meter tunnel extending from Jabar Pharmacy in al-Qitar Street to the Insurance Building.
