Dêrik, Çilaxa Councils condemned isolation imposed on Ocalan

Dêrik District Council and Çilaxa District Council organized two separated gatherings to denounce the isolation imposed by the Turkish state on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. Dozens of the members of the councils, civil society organizations and Kongra Star attended the gathering.

During the two gatherings, a joint statement was read,

All the political parties believe that the capitalist regime is living in a real crisis, and therefore it is making effort to develop the projects of the solution to the capitalist rule.

The statement pointed out, "The Treaty of Lausanne denies the existence of the Kurdish people after the Second World War, the war of shares. And the Kurdish people were the most affected of these divisions that took place in the Middle East."

The statement added that targeting the Kurdish people by these regimes is still going on, especially in the person of leader Abdullah Ocalan, which was an agreement and an international conspiracy to arrest Ocalan and handed over to the Turkish occupation and put him in isolation for nearly 20 years until the people of the region remain without organization and defense, "Despite this, the leader Ocalan has performed his historic duty through his writings and books and to illustrate the ways of intellectual struggle of the peoples of the world against the capitalist regime.

The statement noted, "The isolation imposed on leader Ocalan has reached a point we cannot afford, especially from the capitalist and occupied forces of Kurdistan, and the imposition of the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated."

The statement called on all peace-loving figures and peoples to face the practices committed by the Turkish occupation in Afrin and Şengal, especially in their latest targeting to break the will of the Yazidi people in the person of Mam Zaki Şengali and to strike the unity of peoples and the gains of our revolution.
