Jihad carried name his uncle and fought his footsteps and gained the love of all who knew him. Jihad was martyred on his 20th birthday. It may have been a divine coincidence that the common bonds between him and his uncle reached him as a martyr.

The struggler Adnan Osman whose nom de guerre is Jihad Rojava was born in Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood of the eastern part of November 11, 1997, before his family moved to the city of Afrin, and grew up in the family of two siblings and sisters, the second son in the family after his older sister Randa, Basem Adnan was named after his uncle, who was martyred within the Kurdistan Freedom Movement.

Adnan studied at al-Karama and Saif al-Dawla schools in Aleppo. He left school in the seventh grade and started to work independently, where he was inclined to independence and self-employment.

Being the eldest son of the family, he received the attention of all the members of the family, which reflected on his character, which was characterized by balance from the age of nails, often associated with the councils of adults and engage in conversations and discussions with them despite his young age did not consider himself as a child.

His mother, Fatima Shekho, recalls that at the age of 3, he went to the barber shop to shave his chin because he saw himself as big and wanted to grow up quickly. On the first day he joined the school he acted unlike the children who were crying to go home.

"We moved to the center of Afrin canton  in 2003 to live in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood. We were surprised that after the first day in the neighborhood, Adnan knew all the shops and public facilities. As he spent his first day exploring the neighborhood, he was curious about research and get to know things. "

At the age of six years of life, his family relied on him to provide the house, as he was characterized by his spirit of enthusiasm and work, At the age of nine, he wanted to work with his father in the bean shop, although he was the spoiled child in the family, but he liked to work indescribably and like to engage in business.

The martyr Adnan left school in the seventh grade to return to it two years later to present the certificate of ninth grade in 2011 with the beginning of the revolutionary movement in Syria has submitted the exams, but the family says he did not care about the result, where he was participating with his colleagues in the peaceful demonstrations in Afrin and left to demand the rights usurped to the Kurdish people .

With the begining of the revolution of the 19th  of July Jihad joined to the revolutionary youth movement and worked within its ranks in 2011, Jihad fighter in 2012 received an open military training lasted 25 days and he and a number of his comrades in the youth in clashes in village Qustal at the end of 2012

After the formation People and Women Protection Units YPG, YPJ was at the forefront of the members and underwent several training courses to learn the use of various types of light weapons and heavy.

Jeker al-Kee, a friend of the People Protection Units, pointed out that the Jihad fighter was known among the fighters of the People Protection Units because he was very conscientious and enabled him to establish contact links with most of the fighters who loved him and were attached to him.

Jihad left the ranks of the People Protection Units as a result of disagreements described by the person and has stayed in the house for 3 months and then returned to fight within the ranks of the Kurdish front in early 2015.

For her part, the fighter in the Women Protection Units Rûgeş Qendîl  said that the fighter Jihad was in-depth in the work and organization of his comrades and identify their personality in addition to his high fighting spirit, where he likes to engage in violent fronts always and gave a moral boost to his companions even in the most difficult times.

Since his youth, Jihad wished to walk in the path in which his uncle was martyred and chose his nom de guerre his uncle was martyred in the nineties in Kabbar city  in Bakur Kurdistan with a number of his companions.and he was martyred on 11 November at night while he was trying to release a number of his trapped colleagues.

  The struggler Jihad was martyred in al-Shahba areas with numbers of his comrades after heroic resistance in the face of IS , on November 11, 2016 and his corpse was buried on November 21 .2016 , of the same year in the cemetery of the martyr Rafik in Metîna village belonging to Shara in Afrin canton the martyr completed path of his uncle, who had carried his real and nom de guerre name,  where he was martyred on his 20th birthday and  provided with his comrades a heroic epic that will be transmitted by generations.
