People demand, Health Committee meets

Residents of Tall Tawil town complain that there is no pharmacy or health clinic in their town, although there are a large number of residents in the town, who are forced to go to al- Hasakah city and pay huge sums to buy medicines and see a doctor.

Tal Tawil town is 5 km away of al-Hasakah and has a population of about 5000 people and is inhabited by Arab and Kurdish components.

The residents of the town organized themselves through 6 communes established by the Democratic Society Movement, and 24 villages followed to this town.

"There was a small pharmacy in the town, but this pharmacy has been closed for a long time, since then, we have been suffering from the lack of the pharmacy or any health center in the town, so we hope from the Health Committee to establish a clinic with medical staff and pharmacy. "

For his part, Ayman Tariq noted that they are 5 km away from al-Hasakah, which is dangerous when there is any emergency medical condition at night due to the absence of any means of treatment in the town, in addition to the absence of any health center or clinic.

"We are aware of the suffering of the people. We, as the town council, have presented the request to the Health Committee in the canton "said Khabat Sulaiman the co-chair of the town council.

According to the information obtained from the health committee's administrators, they confirmed that they had held several meetings with the residents of Tal Tawil and explained to them that they would open a clinic in the near future.

It should be noted that the Health Committee in al-Haskah canton and within six months, had opened health clinics in both areas of al-Arisha and al-Houl, and the towns of Zarkan and Merkada.
