Municipality of Qamişlo renovates, maintains sewerage networks in Judi neighborhood

Based on appeals and criticism from the residents of Judi neighborhood in Qamişlo city, the People's Municipality in the city began to maintain and renovate the sewage networks in the neighborhood.

There are 10 neighborhoods in Qamişlo city, namely al-Gharbi, al-Kornish, Jodi, al-Haliliya, al-Seyahi, Kadour Bek, Bshiriya, Assyrian, al-Arbawia and al-Antariya ) Judy neighborhood, east of the city, suffers from erosion and damage to sewage channels, residents of the neighborhood applied to the People's Municipality for the re-maintenance of sewage networks.

Based on the criticisms and appeals of the people, the municipality initiated the project of renovation and maintenance of sewerage networks in Judy neighborhood with a length of 150 meters.

Hawar News Agency wandered into the neighborhood and met a number of people. Citizen Khalaf Abu Othman, 50, said that sewage channels have been damaged for more than 6 months, and that foul odors of canals are spreading. "After reviewing the municipality, the municipality now started to maintain the networks, and we hope to continue its work in the service of the people."

Jamil Hussein 60 also said that the municipality responded to appeals for maintenance and renovation of sewage networks.

"Sewage networks need maintenance and renovation, as a result, we started to renovate the channels and networks, the residents of the neighborhood were generally suffering from this problem, so we studied the project and started maintenance work, the administrator in the People's Municipality Berivan Issa said.

She also confirmed that the municipality is considering the completion of similar projects in the maintenance of infrastructure in the neighborhoods of al-Antariya and Jernaki.
