Despite lack of machineries, cleaners are doing their jobs

The awareness of urban population is in the cleanliness of the city they live in. Cleanliness is not achieved by the availability of human resources and machineries only, but it is linked to cooperation between the people and the competent authorities.

In the early years of the revolution, al-Hasakah city suffered from the spread of rubbish, due to the lack of organization and activation of the Environment Department in the people municipality .

Recently, the city has witnessed a remarkable development in the cleanliness of the city. The Environment Department of the three Eastern, Western and Southern Municipalities clean the neighborhoods on a daily basis.

Every day, the cleaning car runs around the city on Fridays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

ANHA agency, met with Dalal Ibrahim Dahir from al-Mufti neighborhood who noticed that the cleaning workers in the Environment Department are performing the tasks assigned to them and are cleaning the neighborhoods on a daily basis.

Dalal criticized in the context of her talk to the people who are not cooperating with the workers especially the owners of shops who throw bags and carton in the street.

Cleaner Omar Aziz Mousa said in this regard, "On a daily basis we remove rubbish bags from the streets, but there are some people are not cooperating, especially the owners of restaurants and shops."

Mousa asked the people to put rubbish in the places allocated to them and cooperate with the cleaners.

We suffer from lack of machineries and shortage of staff, so we see obstacles, but we challenge them and we perform our duties in the cleanliness of the city."
