Deir ez-Zor Military Council arrests elements of terrorist cells

Deir ez-Zor Military Council issued a written statement published on its official website announcing the arrest of elements of terrorist cells.

"Recently in Deir ez-Zor, there were many movements of terrorist cells of Daesh and the Euphrates Shield, al-Qaeda and the Syrian regime, at the same time targeted civilians and militants, and we have presented a number of martyrs in this period, and their operations by bombard car or by planting explosive devices on the roads and does not distinguish between civilian or military.

To meet the demands of parents and tribal elders and dignitaries combing the villages and the arrest of terrorist cells which were targeting civilians before the militants.

We began combing the villages of Deir ez-Zor to arrest these cells and bring them to justice to receive their fair punishment, the combing operations began from the border of Merkada town on one hand, the borders of al-Kasra and al-Buseira one the other hand, combing all the villages on this line then all that happened after which the information have been collected by specific aspects and the targets and the wanted had been selected, and during the combing operations, a number of terrorists were arrested, carrying weapons with silencers and improvised explosive devices, as well as bombed cars, as well as wireless devices.

The campaign has received no objection but from some people affiliated to an external agenda, where their voices raised to demand the release of terrorists who will be brought to fair trials after they have terrorized civilians, killed and displaced many, this is the goal of Syrian Democratic Forces"
