Mercenaries arrested, their weapons’ store discovered in Deir ez-Zor

The Internal Security Forces in Deir ez-Zor arrested in cooperation with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) a number of mercenaries and seized weapons that were hidden in a store in al-Shuhail village in Deir ez-Zor countryside .

The Internal Security Forces in Deir ez-Zor told ANHA agency that their forces, as part of the campaign to cleanse the area of terrorism, raided on Monday dawn one of the terrorists’ strongholds in al-Shuhail area in Deir ez-Zor countryside, and arrested a number of mercenaries.

During the operation, a mercenary stronghold was disclosed which the mercenaries used to use as a store to hide their weapons and ammunition. As a result of the operation, the forces seized the weapons in the store, as well as arrested the terrorists that were present in the area without giving details about the terrorists.

The officials said they had sent the terrorists to the concerned authorities in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces, saying that they would issue a statement on the operation later.

The Internal Security Forces in Deir ez-Zor confirmed that they continue to pursue terrorists and eliminate them.
