Nazira Korea is co-chair of Executive Council in al-Jazeera canton

In accordance with the principle of the joint presidency, Nazira was elected as the co-chair of the Executive Council of al-Jazeera canton, and Ms. Ilham Metli, member of the Legislative Council of al-Jazeera canton, at the regular session of the Legislative Council.

The Legislative Council in Al-Jazeera held its regular session on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at its headquarters in Amouda, in the presence of all members of the Legislative Council.

During the ordinary meeting, amendments to Articles 55 and 58 of the Charter of the Social Contract for Autonomy were submitted to the members of the Legislative Council for amendment, so that the Presidency of the Executive Council of al-Jazeera canton became co-chair and the members voted to accept the amendment.

Under the amendment to the Social Contract Charter, Ms. Nazira was appointed to the co-chair of the Executive Council of al-Jazeera canton, where the members of the Council voted to accept the proposal by assigning the joint presidency of the Executive Council to Ms.Nazira and was approved by an absolute majority by the Legislative Council.

The members of the Council also elected Mrs.Ilham Metli to serve as a member of the Legislative Council's divan of al-Jazeera canton.
