Aisha Hesso: Syria to witness hot developments

Aisha's speeches came during a meeting held by the party on Thursday at the Martyr Yekta Academy in Ain Issa district for the party's members in the district.

Dozens of the party's members attended the meeting which was started by holding a minute of silence. Then, the PYD's co-chair Aisha Hesso talked about the situation of the Syrian opposition and Aisha noted, "This opposition does not have a national political project, and this is the reason of the weakness of the opposition. Moreover, this gave the opportunity for a number of countries to intervene in the Syrian issue to serve their agendas, and we can say that this was the reason of the distortion of the Syrian revolution, and the depth of the crisis.

Hesso said that the next stage of the Syrian political scene will witness new and hot developments and added, "Russia, Turkey and Iran are imposing themselves on the Syrian arena through the meetings of Astana, and the Western countries are pushing for the Geneva meetings and finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis."

Hesso concluded, "The areas of North Syria, thanks to the Syrian Democratic Forces, enjoy peace and security. Whatever political events have developed on the Syrian arena, there would be no solution to the crisis except for the pluralistic democratic solution that has been suggested by our party since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in addition to standing together with the will of the peoples and the components of the Syrian people."
