Pentagon responds to Turkey: model will not be applied to other areas

“The United States and Turkey's road map on Manbij will not apply to other parts of Syria,” the Pentagon said in response to Turkish statements promoting the transfer of Manbij model to other regions.

Pentagon spokesman Adrian Galloway said the road map was drawn up by the United States and Turkey about Manbij apply to this city and not to other areas in Syria

"The implementation of the roadmap will be based on the changes on the ground," Galloway told al-Hurra. "It is important that all players in the region focus on defeating Daesh.

Galloway said "Turkey is an ally in NATO and is a partner in the coalition to defeat Daesh... and we are still working closely with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters.

Galloway's remarks came in response to comments by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Tuesday that the Turkish side wanted to move the roadmap model to Manbij to other regions.

Manbij city was liberated by virtue of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters 2016 , and now American military are spreading to provide advising to Manbij Military Council.
