HPG: 7 soldiers, 1 Contra’s element killed

HPG issued a statement revealing the outcome of the military operations carried out by their forces against the elements of the Turkish army in Amed and Gever in Bakur (North Kurdistan).

According to the statement, 3 elements of the Turkish army were killed during the operation carried out by the fighters on the 1st of June in Başêrgeh area in Colemêrg, and the operation targeted a military vehicle of Rio type which resulted in destroying the vehicle completely, and killing 3 elements of the Turkish army.

The statement also confirmed that their forces managed on May 31 to hold the so-called Heydar Glick accountable as he was dealing with the Turkish army and participated in operations that led to the martyrdom of a number of HPG fighters, and the operation took place in the center of Gever city in Colemêrg.

The statement also said that HPG's fighters targeted on June 1 one of the units of the Turkish occupation army stationed in the vicinity of Xarjik village of Pîran district in Amed. The operation resulted in killing 2 elements of the Turkish army, while the Turkish army launched a military campaign in the area after the operation. On the same day, the fighters targeted a military vehicle that was involved in the combing campaign, killing 2 soldiers and wounding several others.
