Şengal women supported Afrin resistance materially, morally

The delegation included the co-chair of the Executive Body of Şangal Zahra Suleiman and the director of the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement Zuhri Shemo. The delegation was received by the spokeswoman of Kongra Star in Rojava Avin Swayed, the administrator in Kongra Star in Afrin Wahida Khalil and the administrator in the Diplomatic Relations Makiya Hasso.

During the visit, the co-chair of the Executive Body in Şangal Zahra Suleiman said that what happened in Şangal from tragedies, killing, displacement and rape was repeated in Afrin, but this time by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Zahra Suleiman added, "Despite the difficult living conditions of Şangal people, they believe that they must provide assistance and support to Afrin people, and struggle and resist until Afrin would be liberated."

For her part, the spokeswoman of Kongra Star in Rojava Avin Swayed said that the support provided by the women and the people of Şengal proved that they, despite their modest efforts, support the resistance of Afrin people who are living in al-Shahba camps.

The material support was delivered to Kongra Star which in turn would send it to the administration in al-Shahba canton’s camps.
