2nd stage of al-Raqqa's reconstruction began

The Service Committee related to the Reconstruction Committee in al-Raqqa Civil Council started implementing the 2nd stage of its program which is rehabilitating the sewage network in al-Raqqa city as the damage was attached to it has appeared after pumping water to the city.

The workshop started its work from the main sewerage line located in al-Mansour Street in Saif al-Dewla neighborhood.

In this context, the head of the People's Municipality Ahmed Ibrahim talked to ANHA agency and said that after the opening of the People’s Municipality, they have initially repaired the network of water lines and fractures, and Ahmad Ibrahim continued, "After pumping water to more than 75% of the neighborhoods of al-Raqqa city, the problem of sanitation has appeared to the people.”

Ibrahim said, "We have cut off the water on Monday from al-Raqqa to help the workers to work, and the water will remain cutting off till Tuesday, after which we will pump water again. We have assigned four months to maintain sanitation in the entire city at a cost of $700,000."

Ibrahim pointed out that maintaining works may take less time than we mentioned, stressing that they are in contact with the organizations."
