8 Turkish soldiers killed during HPG’s separated operations

The media center published a statement concerned to the operations carried out by the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) during the period between May 22 and 24 against the Turkish occupation army in Bakur Kurdistan.

The text of the statement included:

Within the military campaign of Pîroz and Agirî that was carried out by our forces against the Turkish state, our forces carried out operations against the enemy’s forces whose details are as follows:

On May 23 at 14:20, our forces carried out an operation against the soldiers stationed on AfadelKofi in Bradost area as the enemies were dealt harsh blows, but the accurate number of the killed and wounded was not confirmed. After that, the enemies bombarded the area with warplanes.

On the same day at 16:10, Women Units – Star carried out an operation against the enemy forces positioned on Lêlikan Hill in Brodast area from three axes, and according to the initial information that we managed to make sure of, 3 Turkish soldiers were killed, and the Turkish occupation then shelled the area using warplanes.

At 18:30 and at 19:00, our forces carried out two operations against the enemies on Qiyada Hill in Çelê district in Golemêrk as they dealt strong blows to the enemies. According to what has been assured, a soldier was killed. 

On May 24 at 7:30, our forces carried out a sniper operation against the occupying enemies on the Martyr Rahima Hill in Kafer district in Golemêrk, and that resulted in killing a soldier.

Within the revolutionary campaign, the campaign of Ozan and Roza, and in the evening of May 21, our forces carried out an operation against an armored vehicle of the Turkish occupation army in Bilamory district in Dêrsim, and that resulted in destroying the vehicle, killing two soldiers and wounding other two of them according to the information that we were able to obtain. 

Within the same campaign, our forces carried out a sniper operation against Qermezi Korbu Police Station in Bilamory district in Dêrsim on May 22, and that resulted in killing a soldier.

On May 23, our forces carried out an operation using land mines against teams of Kontra that protect a road near Mesherta village in Hezo district, and that resulted in killing a soldier of Kontra. After that, the Turkish occupation army carried out military operations in Temok village, Sheikh Farah ed-Din Hill and Maniri Hill.

On the same day, the Turkish occupation army carried out military operations in the areas of Jemfelranda Kari, Qaji Hill, Kezro Hill and the martyrs’ cemeteries in Berwari district in Sêrt, but the operations ended on the same day and after few hours without achieving the desired outcomes.
