Permanent solutions to reduce pressure of Euphrates Dam transfer station

The Directorate seeks by processing of the transformer to relieve the pressure of the main and only transformer in the Euphrates Dam which has a capacity of 30 MW / H.

According to the engineers and workers in the Euphrates Dam, the main transformer must not carry more than 80% of its capacity while it currently bears up to 98% of its capacity which threatens its failure which if disrupted, that will make many northern Syrian cities in total darkness.

In order to process the transducer, (the 10-megawatt transformer), al-Tabqa Energy Department brought three cells known as commanding and controlling cells.

The first task of the cell is limited to the protection of the transformer. The second cell's importance is to protect the differential by measuring the voltage of the transformer which is estimated at 6 kV and the outside is estimated at 20 kV.

The third cell is to protect the point of the star in the transformer as the transformers connect to each other in an astral form. This third cell gives an order to disconnect the electric current from the transformer in case of increasing the amount of electric current in case of entry and exit.

In addition, the electricity department of al-Tabqa 4 brought electrical capacitors from al-Raqqa city to compensate for the power factor which is intended to take full advantage of the surplus in electricity after one cycle.
