Crucial steps to better services in al-Shahba

Tens of thousands of Afrin residents were forced to displace from their homes due to Turkey and its gangs’ occupation of Afrin, who were received by the Tel Rifat district, Tel Rifat People’s Municipality is seeking to provide services to people. 

In this context, the People’s Municipality managed to get water to 80% of the district, as six underground wells have been activated after providing pumps and generators; moreover, 15 water tanks are daily being distributed.   

The People’s Municipality aims to feed all the district with water to alleviate the suffering of people.

It is also seeking to secure two generators for the district’s residents, in this concern, the Co-chair of Tel Rifat municipality Rasheed Khalil said that they will provide two generators with 800 amperes power and will prepare electricity networks and lines.   

The municipality also is seeking to open Souq al-Hal in the district to control the prices, Khalil said that there are traders who monopolize the prices of vegetables, fruits and others.

Rasheed Khalil assured “in order to control the prices, we will open Souq al-Hal.”
