12 Turkish soldiers killed in HPG’s operations

The media center of Popular Defense Forces (HPG) carried out operations in Bakur (North Kurdistan) and Lêlikan area in Başûr (South Kurdistan), and the operations led to killing 12 soldiers of the Turkish occupation.

The media center of HPG issued on Sunday a written statement to the public opinion in which it revealed the outcomes of the 2 operations carried out by their forces in Elîşêr Hill in Geverê district in Colemêrg city on May 11 and in Lêlikan area.

The text of the statement included:

“In the framework of the revolutionary campaign which was launched on behalf of the 2 Martyrs Agirî and Pîroz, our forces carried out an operation in Elîşêr Hill in Geverê in Colemêrg city in Bakur Kurdistan on May 11, and they dealt strong blows to the positions of the Turkish occupation from 4 sides, and destroyed its fortifications. According to the information obtained, the operation led to killing 11 soldiers of the Turkish occupation. After the operation, the Turkish occupation shelled the area.

In the framework of a revolutionary campaign, our forces carried out a sniper operation in Lêlikan area in Başûr Kurdistan. The operation led to killing 1 soldier of Turkish occupation."
