Work continuous … to deliver water to al-Raqqa entirely

Water Committee is working on repairing the damaged water networks inside the city since the liberation of the city on October 17, 2017, up to now, the Committee repaired nearly 140 water network faults on all streets of the city at an estimated cost of 600 million Syrian liras to pump water to some neighborhoods of the city includes al-Rumaila, al-Mushlab, Hisham ibn Abdul Malik and the old mosque neighborhood.

In this regard, the head of the Water Department in the people's municipality in al-Raqqa Jassim al-Khalaf, "The damages of the water supply network are broken in the pipes or the accumulation of dirt inside."

He noted that about 15 broken pipes had been repaired and indicated that water would be pumped in the coming days on Tal Abiyad Street and al-Wadi.

The maintenance works of the lines in this period in al-Basel neighborhood to feed al-Basel Street, the train and al-Daraiya neighborhood with water.

The head of Water Committee attributed the reason to the slow work and the failure to remedy some of the problems and major damages to the lack of machineries and their few potential.

He stressed that they are continuing to work to deliver water to all neighborhoods of al-Raqqa.
