Tel-Barak, Tel-Hames people condemn policies of demographic change in Afrin

The residents of Tel- Hames and Tel -Barak have rejected the practices of the Turkish occupation against the Afrin residents, which are aimed at changing the demographics of the region, pointing out that these practices are part of the revival of the Ottoman Sultanate in Syria.

The Turkish occupation army are still continuing its violations against Afrin residents, amid continuing demographic changes in Afrin, bringing gangs and factions’ families from various Syrian regions, which witnessed the settlement process with the Syrian regime under supervision of the Russian and the continued kidnapping, torture and theft of people's properties after its occupation of Afrin.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with Tel-Barak and Tel-Hames people, citizen Safa al-Khader from Tel -Barak district's people said " We reject of the brutal practices of Turkish occupation and its gangs against Afrin people after its occupation, and accused Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which fought against Islamic State's gangs (IS) of being terrorist forces."

Safa said that Turkish occupation which opened its border to enter Islamic State's gangs (IS) to Syrian territory, adding “we have to join hands together to prevent the expansion of the fascist Erdogan in the region."

Citizen Mohamed al-Jassim one of the children Tel-Hames district said "The goal of the Turkish occupation is a purely colonial objective aimed at changing Afrin's landmarks from all geographical and human aspects."

Al-Jassim explained that the policy of Turkification allowed by the Turkish occupation in Afrin is a prelude to the revival of the Ottoman Sultanate in Syria again. He continued "As an Arabic component, we tell Erdogan and his allies, dream not you can achieve ambitions on the Syrian land, and we will liberate it, because God is with the will of free peoples."

In the same context, Sulaiman al-Saleh said that "the demographic change that has taken place in Afrin, eastern al- Ghouta, al-Qalamoun and Homs, is to prolong the life of the Syrian crisis."

Al-Saleh stressed that the best solution for the Syrian crisis is the implementation of the democratic federation system which promotes the foundations of coexistence between the peoples of the region.
