Al-Raqqa Health Committee ended 5th children's vaccine campaign

The Health Committee related to al-Raqqa Civil Council concluded its campaign of vaccination in al-Raqqa city which started in April 22 and ended in April 30.

The campaign included providing a range of vaccines, including prevention of measles, poliomyelitis and polio, which were common in the city in the presence of IS mercenaries; those who prevented international and medical organizations from entering to provide vaccines for children at that time.

The Health Committee distributed during its 5th campaign in al-Raqqa city 100,072 doses of oral vaccine, 7,215 of the polio vaccine and 63,289 vaccines against measles.

In this context, the head of Health Committee in al-Raqqa Civil Council Ahmed Ismail said, "The campaign began in al-Raqqa with the help of the international organizations since the establishment of the Health Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council in 17/4/2017. The vaccine included five campaigns; four of them for polio and the fifth campaign that started on 22/4/2018 until 30/4/2018 included vaccines against polio and measles."
