Absentia ceremony for Resistance of Age’s YPJ martyr

The Martyrs' Families Council in Girê Sipî (Tel Abyad) held an absentia ceremony for the fighter in the ranks of Women Protection Units (YPJ) Yamamah Aujan, nom de guerre Berjim Tel Abyad who was martyred during her participation in the Resistance of the Age in Afrin on the 3rd of March of this year.

The ceremony, which was held at the People's House in Girê Sipî city center, included hundreds of people, the People and Women's Protection Units' fighters and members of civil institutions, raising the flags of the People and Women's Protection Units and the flags of the Martyrs' Families Council.

The ceremony began with performing a military parade which was followed by delivering a number of speeches, in which they martyrs were praised and the sacrifices made by them in order to protect the land and the people and their role in protecting the gains of the people's revolution in Rojava and northern Syria were evaluated.

The speeches also promised to follow the footsteps of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in order to protect the area's peoples until they reach the goals for which they sacrificed their lives.

The ceremony concluded with chanting the slogans that salute the resistance of the People and Women's Protection Units (YPG and YPJ), and that glorify the martyrs.
