Al-Tabqa girls, practicing shooting, say "holding arms not restricted to men"

The members of al-Tabqa's Young Women's Union are practicing shooting with live bullets at the end of a training session on the use of an individual weapon and how to shoot at fixed targets.

The course was started by training members to dismantle and install the Kalashnikov weapon and explain its tactical and artistic advantages.

At the end of the course, which was overseen by fighters from the Martyr Haboun Arab battalion which is a military battalion for women in al-Tabqa, the members of Young Women Union in al-Tabqa have carried out shooting at a fixed target.

Twelve members of the Union participated in the training.

The shooting took place in a field near al-Tabqa's military airport, and it is the first time members had carried out shooting with live ammunition.

“Holding arms is not restricted to men”

"Not only men are able to hold arms," said trainee Sham al-Mohammed, a member of Young Women's Union in al-Tabqa, she expressed her happiness with the execution of shooting for the first time in her life." Said Sham al-Mohammad, one of the trainees.
