Women's House in Deir ez-Zor opened the first training course for women, aimed at using weapons to protect themselves when needed.

Twenty members of the civil institutions in Deir ez-Zor joined the training course to learn how to use and carry arms and play their roles in society to be able to defend themselves.

The courses scheduled by supervisors include practical and theoretical lessons on Kalashnikov rifle, "dismantle, unpack, throw, how to defend" and the course will last for 3 days.

"This is the first course to be opened in Deir ez-Zor for women, to be an example for our female comrades in Women Protection Units fighting on the front lines and helping them in times of need, and in order for the woman to protect herself when needed," she said.
