Tirbe Sipi's Yazidi wish freedom, peace to Afrin on Red Wednesday

The first Wednesday of April in the Eastern calendar is a holiday for Yezidi Kurds and is called "Red Wednesday"

In view of what is happening in Afrin region from the attempt to annihilate the Kurdish people in general and Yazidi in particular by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and in solidarity with the people of Afrin, this year the Yazidi will be restricted to visiting religious shrines and family gatherings without a celebration ceremony

In this regard a correspondent from Hawar news agency met with Tirbe Sipi Yazidi in Qamishlo canton.

Citizen Jazia Houran blessed the festival on all Yazidi and the leader of Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, and expressed its gratitude and thanks to People and Women Protection Units and HPG which saved Yezidi from the genocide suffered in both Afrin and Sengal by Turkish occupation army and its gangs as ISIS and others.

"The unity of Kurdish class is the only solution to stand against those who are trying to harm the Kurdish people in general and Yazidi in particular, and called on the international community to stop the massacres and violations of Turkey and the policies of genocide against Yazidi in Afrin."

In this context, Hadia Shemo has blessed on Wednesday all Yazidi and the forces defending honor and dignity in the fighting fronts against mercenaries and Turkish occupier, and said "Thanks to our forces, we enjoy freedom in the practice of our religious festivals and rituals," he said.

She wished through her speech that this year's holiday, a holiday brings with it freedom and peace to the people of Afrin and be the last year passing on the Yazidi people of Afrin outside their of homes and land, and freed Afrin and return to their homes as soon as.

The citizen Shawakh Ismaiel expressed his discontent of what the Yazidi have subjected to during history, "we have been subjected to 74 plots by the regimes that are trying to annihilate the Yazidi and the last one was by Turkish state and its mercenaries," he said.

Ismail concluded his speech by saying: "We say to authoritarian regimes, we will not fear of your attempts and we will continue to call for the peoples' brotherhood and we will win because we have rights."
