71 fighters joined SDF

QAMIŞLO

71 fighters from Tel Hamis and Tel Birak districts in Qamişlo canton completed their intellectual and military training course at Martyr Matin Military Academy. The course which was named by the Martyr Sadiq Tel Hamis who martyred during his participation in al-Raqqa liberation campaign in July 12, 2017 lasted 20 days.

Dozens of commanders and fighters of SDF and the family of the martyr Sadiq Tel Hamis attended the ceremony.

The graduation ceremony began by holding a minute of silence that was followed by the speech of the commander Diyar Tel Hamis who congratulated the new joiners on finishing the course.

 Diyar Tel Hamis pointed out that the legitimate defense is our duty to preserve the unity of the Syrian soil which has been free from terrorism saying that the leader of the democratic nation Abdullah Ocalan said," The rose holds a thorn to protect itself, and today, we hold arms to defend our land and people."

The new fighters; then, swore the military oath, pledging to follow the footsteps of the martyrs towards constructing a democratic and free society.

The ceremony ended with chanting the slogans which salute Resistance of the Age's martyrs.
