Assad briefed Rouhani on American strikes' details

The Syrian president Bashar al-Assad said in a telephone call with his Iranian counterpart Hassen Rouhani that what he called the "aggression" carried out by the colonial powers as he expressed them came after losing the control.

The Syrian president Bashar al-Assad received a telephone call on Saturday from the Iranian president Hassen Rouhani, in which he expressed his strong condemnation of the triple aggression against Syria.

According to SANA agency of the Syrian regime, "The Iranian president stressed the continuation of his country's support to Syria, and Rouhani expressed his confidence that this aggression would not undermine the Syrian people’s intention in their battle against terrorism."

"For his part, the president al-Assad briefed his Iranian counterpart on the details of the attack and how to repel it," the agency said, adding that "The aggression occurred because the western countries realized that they had lost control over the situation and at the same time, they felt that they had lost their credibility to their people and to the world."

The United States, France and Britain have launched strikes on a number of the regime's sites on charges of the chemical attacks launched on Douma city.
