Farmers Union formed in Tel Hamis, Tirbê Sipîyê

The Agriculture Committee in Tirbê Sipîyê district held the constituent meeting of Farmers Union Council in Roj Hall, and hundreds of farmers of Tel Hamis and Tirbê Sipîyê districts attended.

The meeting began by holding a minute of silence. Then, Ahmed Suleiman, the co-chair of the Agriculture Body in Qamislo canton said, "It is necessary to take care of agriculture in our current situation and the means to develop it because agriculture plays a major role in the progress of the area's economy, and it plays an important role in achieving self-sufficiency."

Ahmed Suleiman added, "All farmers must work hard to develop the agricultural sector. The purpose of the meeting is to form the Farmers' Union, and the electors must work on serving the farmers and developing the agriculture."

At the end of his speech, Ahmed Suleiman noted that this union would be the cornerstone for the success and development of the agricultural sector in all fields.

Then, the Council's divan opened the door of nomination for the farmers, and 7 members were elected for Farmers Union to manage the agricultural sector in the seven towns related to Tel Hamis and Tirbê Sipîyê districts.
