Deir ez-Zor residents prepare to send 1st aid's batch to Afrin

Deir ez-Zor's residents are preparing to send the 1st aid's batch which they have collected to the Afrin's residents living in al-Shahba canton, while the campaign's supervisor said that their campaign is continuing, and they will send more aid.

In response to the call launched by Deir ez-Zor Civil Council in March 25 to collect donations and aid for Afrin residents who were forced to leave their homes as a result of Turkish occupation army’s bombing and the fear of massacres committed against them, a fund-raising tent has been set up, and it witnessed a significant turnout by the people.

According to Fund-Raising Committee's members, an amount of 4 million and 100 thousand S.P has been collected as a first batch of donations as the necessary foodstuffs and supplies will be purchased of them and they would be sent to Afrin's people.

The director of Relations Office in Deir ez-Zor Civil Council and the supervisor of the campaign Nuri al-Adas said, "The donation campaign came from the principle of the Syrian people's unity, and they have to do their duty towards Afrin's people."

Al-Adas explained that the campaign to collect aid for Afrin's people continues in the area.
