Abo Khashab camp suffers from deplorable conditions, orgs do not move

Refugees people in Abo Khashab camp suffer from a deplorable situation due to lack of service and living severe conditions and international organization do not move till now to provide them with assistance, especially milk and bread.

On this concern (ANHA) correspondent toured inside the camp and held interviews with refugees and the administrators, who in turn confirmed the acute shortage of daily necessities.

One of refugees whose name is Ahmed al- Khaled from people of Deir –ez-Zor city "We live in an intolerable situation in the camp, and there is a spread of leishmaniosis that affects young people and the elderly, without providing any of the so-called human rights organizations to help us, let alone depriving our children of the right to learn".

Khaled added" Summer season is approaching and our situation will be more difficult. If our things are not improved, the tents are not enough. Every 10 people are living in one tent. We demand more tents. We also need medicines to treat insect bites for fear of snakes and scorpions."

The administrator in the camp Saddam al-Aboud said "the situation in the camp is difficult. The displaced people are suffering from a lack of services in light of the failure of the humanitarian organizations to provide them with assistance. We are also suffering from a shortage of tents and there is an increase in the number of displaced people, because the tents do not accommodate the number of displaced people".

"There is also a shortage of medical points, and there is a lack of medicines to treat patients, especially children, even though the Kurdish Red Crescent helps the camp according to its potential, but this is not enough."

The administrator in Abo Khashab camp ended his speech saying " questionnaire was conducted on cases of malnutrition. Seventy percent of all children were found to have a milk shortage and we appeal to all humanitarian organizations to provide support to the camp and to protect children."

It is noteworthy that most of the refugees in the camp who have been forced to flee of Syrian regime and IS gangs from Deir –ez-Zor heading towards to safe areas under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Abo Khashab camp is located in Abo Khashab village belonging to Deir –ez-Zor about 1,500 refugee families are living and was established on 13-10-2017.
